I've been wanting to upgrade for some time, and while I'm not someone who needs to have the newest or the best, I knew I was being limited by my equipment. I am a big advocate of making what you have work for you. When I first started, I had a Canon Rebel Xsi (though some of my earliest favorite photos were from a Kodak Easyshare!). For the last couple of years, I've been working with a Canon 60D. I pushed that camera to it's limits. I learned to use it to my advantage, and learned to create the look I wanted with the equipment I had. Lately, I've realized that while my 60D gets the job done (most of the time), I know I was being limited by it's capabilities.
So, with much thought and consideration, I decided to upgrade to the Canon 5D Mark III (go big, or go home, right?!). I may have experienced some heart palpitations after purchasing (haha), but I'm so happy I did it! I still can't believe this baby is really mine!! I'm so excited to have this amazing tool in my hands, which I know will help push me forward in my art and in business, and allow me to deliver even higher quality images to my amazing clients.
The day my camera came in, what else was there to do except go play with it?!
Here's the first photograph I took with my new camera: My fur baby, Lola! (It was a lazy kind of day, haha)
My nephew had fun playing with bubbles, and I had fun capturing his excitement!
This is the face of anticipation...
He was trying to pop them with his nose, heh.
I love this little dude! I can't wait to share what's coming!
